NOTICE I PUT THIS DOWN HERE IN THE OFF TOPIC SECTIONGood. Any of you pimps want to come to Andersburg next year, it appears a bunch of folks want to go see the mainstream elephant one more time. Yeah, I know it is a long way for folks to come just for another mainstream event, but how many times do you get to sham and glam at the 'Burg with a western (yes, you read that right) impression? Plus, we can indoctrinate you into the Jenny Wade Club if the event really tanks. Lewd and lascivious as that may be.

Hot off the press:
June 27-29, 2008
145th Anniversary of Gettysburg
On over 400 acres, limited to 4000 military participants, with all proceeds going to preservation and interpretation
Same old mainstream shit, but we figure to give the curious a home away from home. I'm not sure what level of happy hoohah work we'll put into this one. On one hand it would be nice to show and go, but on the other hand what truly separates us from the simians?

What do you mean by western? Are you trying to shop a johnny impression to us Heath!!?? I was really wanting a trip out east next year to visit G'burg and soo many of the other battlefields that I have not seen or only seen in passing in my youth. I'd hate to pick the 145th weekend to do that on, with it being the busiest and touristy. Although I do remember my time at the 135th G'burg and always wish I could do it over the RIGHT way. This could be my oppurtunity to do just that and take a look at one of the biggest Civil War carnivals that we'll see for a long time. Would like to go fed though.....

Plus, you could visit CJ Daley's shop, too.
Impression guidelines will be pretty basic for the event. Wear something blue. Speak reverently about snow and say "uff da" once in a while. That phrase may be post war, but feel free to say things about the 1862 Indian uprising.

Yeah... or I could just wipe my ass with that $100+ bill. But the northern slang would work... after all who woul notice the differance? We are talking about G'burg after all. "Black Screamin Shits" Charles Heath

If you act nice, we can go over to the Indiana monument, and you guys can hum a few bars of the state song.

I would like to revisit Gettysburg always, could spend a week looking at the battlefield. BTW m,et a girl at a bar in Mississippi who claims to have seen every single battlefield out there. All 12,000 of them. Her Dad is a CW nut and Mississippi mainstreamer. Weird enough I asked where Fort Pulaski was, she said Savannah, Georgia. So I stopped at that, get this she was 19. So she was on the road visiting battlefields most of her life. I haven't seen Antietam yet . GD

Seems there may be a quality LH at Antietam next year. It will have been five years since folks on this end of the hobby did something like that, so it isn't as if folks are beating that site to death.
Yes, in blue. Lawdy, I wouldn't want any of you youngin's to have sumac stains on yer tender skin.

...and then Tim Arnold realizes A.P. Hill's men were wearing a whole bunch of recently acquired federal gear courtesy of Uncle Sam's Harper's Ferry Men's Store.
