Has everyone gone on vacation and not told me? Guess I'm not cool enough. Or has everyone just run out of stuff to talk about? Which came first, the chicken or the egg? There, maybe that will generate some intelligent conversation.

Don't know where the rest are, but Timothy & Lori were in Mt. View, AR until this afternoon. While camping, Lori fell & fractured her ankle in 3 places...had to have surgery & just got out of the hospital there this afternoon. Hopefully they're on their way back home to let her rest & recuperate. We went & got the little ones and they're now staying with Timothy's sister for a few days. Just keep Lori in your prayers that she'll have a speedy recovery and will obey Dr. Tim. I heard that she has to stay off of her foot for 6 to 8 weeks....that's going to be rough on all of them. School starts back soon, too!

Please give them my condolences when you see them. That sucks for Lori. May she have a rapid recovery.

Well, someone sent me a PM a couple of weeks ago that completely destroyed my profile on the forum. Crazy , but true. Anyhow I guess this is the "dark times" of the hot summer months where there are few events to talk about or attend. I'm going to be at Mill Springs to help entertain with the 52nd string band on rip-off row and shop at the "real" sutlers that attend. After that it seems the only thing coming up for everyone around here is the Tag II event in october. I have trouble calling it an outpost event if it's not stationary with rifle pits. Then again, little is known of the activities of the event, we're just going to have a badass, good ole time no matter what. As soon as I get situated with things in "contemporary life" then i'll post some photo close ups and we can have something to gander at and discuss.
And I can still see where the chiggers ate my legs at Vicksburg last June.

Right on... Lori had completely dislocated her ankle, and had a triple fracture on top of that. They put screws in and all that hoohaa. She's been about here and there in the house. Someone brought us supper, and two more people brought us a bunch of junk food... good times... GET YOUR REGISTRATIONS IN FOR TAG II... (outpost III).

Well, I guess as long as Preston knew, it's okay.
BTW: What events are coming up after Tag? I thought about going to Tag, but local LH's have me tied up at that time. I'd like to get out to some good events next year though.

John, you should drop the local event for this one man... You will miss the chance of a lifetime on this. With the NCO's that we have, in our little hole of the event is going to be very, very awesome.

For God sake someone bring this poor man some fresh okra (its a great comfort food in the dirty south)! John, Tim is right about TAG. There are a handfull of LH at anyone time all over the US and you are not that far away from Spring Hill. We need a company of "wild animal" Sons-of-bitches! HOOHA!!!

My TAG registration has been sent in and my flight booked. I'm definitely looking forward to not being compelled to retreat from them miscegenating son's of bitches at every damn turn in the road. And now that I know Scorchy can't have me flogged...
Hope a good many shit-asses make it to TAG.

Unfortunately, at present, I would have to borrow every piece of gear in order to go. I've seen some of you HCB's, and my ass is a whole lot bigger than yours (size 44-46). Right now I have a fatigue blouse, trousers, drawers, and haversack in the works. The leather gear I have is very Mainstream. My improved impression is a work in progress after a year's withdrawal from the hobby, and I'm doing it on a budget.

Okay, sheesh! I printed off the registration form today. I'm going to hang onto it until a little closer to time, so I can see what I have completed to work with. And by the way Charles, I like Sitting on my ass. It's comfortable.
